2014

November - Erects the world largest SCD6.5MW offshore wind turbine in Rudong, Jiangsu province.

October – Obtains type certificate of DNV-GL under GL 2010 worldwide for 1.5MW-89 wind turbine.

August – Enters into a heads of agreement with Marin Energi Testcenter AS ("MetCentre") to erect a SCD6.0MW wind turbine generator in the Karmoy wind turbine demonstration area off the coast of Karmoy Island in Norway.

June – Obtains approval to develop and operate 300MW off-Shore wind power project in Jiangsu province.

2013

November - Enters into 200MW EPC wind farm framework agreement with Speranta & Succesul S.A. in Romania.

September – Secures off-Shore tender in Zhuhai, Guangdong province, China with SCD3MW wind turbine generators.

July – Completes the first SCD6.5 MW prototype.

2012

July – Signs a cooperative agreement with Huaneng Renewables to set up a joint venture specializing in the development of wind power and solar projects in China and overseas markets.

July – Forms strategic partnership with Reliance Group, the largest private enterprise in India, and signs MOU with Reliance Power to co-develop a large portfolio of up to 2,500MW clean energy projects in Indian and South Asia region.

May - MY-3.0MW Super-Compact Drive ("SCD") wind turbine generator ("WTG") successfully passes low voltage ride through ("LVRT") performance tests and obtains the LVRT certification, which is the first large-scale and grid-connected 3.0MW WTG with a built-in full power converter to have successfully passed the LVRT test.

March – Opens its North American research & development center on the Centennial Campus of N.C. State University in Raleigh, North Carolina

February – Enters into certain engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) contracts with W. Power EOOD and A1 Development EOOD respectively, for two wind projects with a total capacity of 125MW in Sovomit and Milkovitsa in Bulgaria. This is the Ming Yang’s first overseas project outside China.

2011

November – Signs a strategic cooperation agreement with Guangdong Yudean Group Co., Ltd to foster off-shore wind power development in Guangdong province and localize production of multi-megawatt wind turbine generators.

October – Enters into a development financing cooperation agreement and a planning cooperation agreement with China Development Bank Corp.

August – Signs EPC contract with China Wind Power International Corp. (TSX-V: CNW) and commences its 198MW Phase III wind farm project.

August – Signs a cooperative agreement with China Three Gorges New Energy Corp. to foster closer cooperation in both domestic and international wind power development.

July – Signs EPC contract with Guangdong Yudean Xuwen Wind Power Co., Ltd for an offshore wind power project in Zhanjiang, Guangdong.

June – Announces detailed plans for commercialization of 2.5/3.0MW Super Compact Drive prototype wind turbine generator.

2010

October – China Ming Yang Wind Power Group Limited is successfully listed on the New York Stock Exchange.

September – Zhang Gaoli, member of the Political Bureau of CPC Central Committee & secretary of CPC Tianjin Municipal Committee, inspects Ming Yang.

May – The first 3MW Super Compact Drive wind turbine in the world successfully rolls off the production line.

April – Wu Bangguo, member of the Political Bureau of CPC Central Committee & chairman of Standing Committee of the National People’s Congress, inspects Ming Yang.

March – Ming Yang promotes wind power EPC whole solution under new commercial model.

January – Wang Rulin, governor of Jilin Province, meets with Chairman Chuanwei Zhang.

2009

November – Li Yuanchao, member of the Political Bureau of CPC Central Committee, secretary of the Secretariat of the Central Committee & head of Organization Department of the CPC Central Committee, inspects Ming Yang with his suite.

October – Rudong experimental wind farm connects to the power grid.

September – Jiangsu Ming Yang Wind Power Technology Co., Ltd. is established.

August – European R & D Centre is established in Denmark.

July – Wen Jiabao, member of the Political Bureau of CPC Central Committee & premier of the State Council, inspects Ming Yang.

April – Wang Yang, member of the Political Bureau of CPC Central Committee & secretary of CPC Guangdong Provincial Committee, inspects Ming Yang.

2008

December – The post-doctoral scientific research workstation is established.

August – MY Rotor blades obtain Germanischer Lloyd (GL) Certification.

June – The first set of rotor blades for 1.5MW wind turbine generator system roll off the production line.

May – Jilin Mingyang Datong Wind Power Technology Co., Ltd. is established.

April – Tianjin Mingyang Wind Power Blade Technology Co., Ltd. is established.

2007

October – Zhongshan Mingyang Wind Power Blade Technology Co., Ltd. is established.

October – The first MY wind turbine is installed at Zhanjiang Xuwen wind farm and is connected to the power grid.

August – The first MY 1.5MW wind turbine rolls off the production line.

March – The first order of 1.5MW wind turbine is obtained.

2006

June 1 – Our predecessor company, Guangdong Mingyang Wind Power Technology Co., Ltd. is established.
